With our Prestige collection you get the look of an authentic, traditional carriage door with the functionality and convenience of a modern overhead door. Each door is pain-stakingly handcrafted in our Portland factory for product that is long-lasting, high-performaning, and beautiful.

Construction

Each door starts with our tried-and-true heavy-duty flush base built with kiln dried rails & stiles—mortise & tenon construction—and plywood laminated to each side. Then, the chosen design materials are hand applied with the waterproof adhesive and galvanized fasteners—stainless fasteners available and recommended in coastal applications.

Designs

Choose one of our designs, or create your own that integrates with the character of your home. Each door is handbuilt using the finest materials, and care. Our designs depict each model as a typical single-car sized opening, meant to look like 2 swinging doors. For double-car doors, we move to a 4 door design. For doors that are in-between sizes, or special requests, we can do a 3 or 5 door design. Have something else in mind? Reach out to us and we’ll work with you to realize your vision.

The Prestige Collection is all about being able to create a door that lives in harmony with your home’s unique characteristics. Weather you’re going for a simple traditional look, or a richly detailed one-of-a-kind door, there’s a combination of design, material, and finish for almost any project.

Face Material Choices

The Prestige Collection comes standard with a smooth marine grade face – a simple, high quality exterior material suitable for paint or stain. If you’re looking for a more rustic look, try our rough-sawn Breckenridge. And for our most premium look, our T&G faces add a truly craftsman look.

Overlay Material Choices

Cedar is by far the most superior wood for weather and pest resistance, which is key to a long lasting door. Premium kiln-dried cedar comes standard – choose between a Clear Vertical Grain or a Tight-Knot cedar.

Each arch we do is custom made and aesthetically optimized for each design & size, unless otherwise specified. For a specific arch request, a template must be provided to our team. On single-car doors, a single arch is standard. For double-car doors, you can choose between a single or double arch.

The Prestige Collection comes standard with 1/8″ Clear DSB (Double Strength B-Grade) glass. Insulated glass & tempered options available. Or, upgrade to an obscured, decorative, or colored option. For special requests, maximum glass thickness allowed is 1/2″.

Speifications

The Prestige Collection is equipped with heavy duty 15″ radius torsion hardware; track is 2″. 3″ track supplied when required by weight. Smooth & quiet nylon-steel rollers, non corrosive door fixtures and graduated 14ga hinges, double end hinges are standard on doors based on weight. All doors include one strut per section, 2-1/4″ or 3″ depending door width and weight.

Hardware

• Heavy-duty hardware box with nylon-steel ball-bearing rollers, 14ga hinges (11ga when necessary), and 2” carriage bolts
• 2″ heavy duty track (3” track reccomended on doors in excess 550lbs)
• 16ga torsion tube (11ga tube on doors over 350lbs, solid shaft & coupler recommended on doors over 12’ high or 550lbs.)
• 22ga struts on doors 12’ wide and larger

• Frame Material: Hemlock/Fir finger-joint rails
• Door Thickness: 2-1/2″ Thick with Marine base, 2-3/4″ Thick with Breckenridge base, 3″ Thick with T&G base
• Internals Frame Dimensions: Bottom Rail is 5″, Top Rail is 5″, Meeting Rail width combined is 4.25″, End Stiles are 2.5″ or 5″ on 12ft and up, Center Stiles: 2.5″
• Arches: are aesthetically optimized for each design & size, unless otherwise specified – customer must supply template.
